A Newly-Organized Chapter of GNPA (Georgia Nature Photographers’ Association) Seeks New Members

A new (and first!) chapter of Georgia Nature Photographers’ Association (www.gnpa.org) was officially launched this past January and currently meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday in each month at the J. Joel Edwards Public Library, located at 7077 S. Highway 19, about one mile south of the courthouse square in Zebulon. To find out what’s coming up each month, log onto the GNPA site and then click on the REGIONS tab. (The speaker for the April 17th meeting will be Phyllis Burchett, whose beautiful images may be viewed on www.phyllisburchettphoto.com.)

The chapter has also recently created a meetup website, which will allow them to meet fellow nature photographers who will, hopefully, soon want to join GNPA. To join the meetup group, log onto http://www.meetup.com/GNPA-Central-Region. Membership in the meetup group is FREE and allows members to participate in meetups that will be held in various scenic sites throughout the central region of Georgia.

GNPA is dedicated to helping nature photographers of all skill levels improve their photography, learn and grow, meet other outdoor photographers, participate in great trips and events, help others understand the value of the natural world and give focus to a special area of interest in photography. GNPA members invite other nature photographers to join them in that endeavor and to help spread the word about this exciting opportunity.

Note: GNPA members may attend meetings/programs in Marietta and/or those in Zebulon. They may also participate in workshops, field trips, etc. sponsored by GNPA and/or GNPA-Central Region.

For additional information about GNPA or GNPA-Central Region, please send an e-mail to central-region@gnpa.org.
